“Kaminada” or Kürtöskalács, the sweet pastry of Danube. It’s the traditional sweet rolls from the streets of Hungary, with the addictive spiral swirl shape!
With a long history too: did you know that this unique twist-baked dessert was recorded for the first time in Medieval Transylvania circa 1450? And ever since it’s… being bitten with passion!
The baked pastry rolls which resemble a thin sweet bread, are wrapped before our eyes around the traditional wooden rolls, to be baked and caramelized, before finally diving in the topping of our choice.
Caramel, cinnamon, pralines, cookies and coconut are just some of the options to coat hot and freshly baked “kaminada”, to then unwrap in the most delicious finger-licking process!
